Ember Jewellery Registered Hallmark

Ember Jewellery Registered Hallmark

Every piece of Ember jewellery, once finished, is sent to the London Assay Office. By law, all British jewellers have to be registered to an Assay Office. The Assay Office tests the metal (sterling silver, gold, palladium or platinum) for its quality.

Once the metals have been tested the Assay Office will stamp each piece with a full set of British Hallmarks (shown below).
Items that do not pass the required quality, are destroyed to avoid being sold.

The British Hallmark, is your guarantee of the metals quality. Before purchasing any jewellery make sure your item has a makers stamp or assay mark. If 925, 9k, 14k, 18k, 22k stamps are used they are not a guarantee of what standard the metal is.
